EziCat 200

EziCat 200

The EziCAT 200 unit is used for the avoidance and location of cables and pipes buried in the ground with the added benefit of depth estimation in cooperation with the EziTRACE or the Sonde in 33kHz mode.

Like the EziCAT 100, the EziCAT 200 unit detects alternating (AC) electromagnetic signals radiated due to currents flowing in conductive buried services. The operator is given the location and direction of the underground service when the unit receives reradiated radio frequencies through internal aerials, which detect the strength and direction of the received signals.

Several vital safety features are built into the EziCAT 200.

  • Always switches on in POWER mode for maximum safety -
  • Starts with maximum sensitivity for safe operation
  • Fully automatic pinpointing for quick and accurate location of the relevant service without the need for any awkward adjustment by the operator
  • In-built, user activated, self-test function, which tests both the hardware and software to ensure full functionality of the unit
  • Perfectly balanced on / off trigger
  • Robust, compact and lightweight case
  • Measure Line and Sonde depth to 3 metres
  • Pictographic quick-guide instructions are displayed on the side of the locator for easy on-site reference
  • Audio visual display with simple LED indicators for maximum convenience
  • accuracy of approx. ± 10% when using cable depth (measurements to the centre of the pipe or cable detected)
  • 8 and 33 kHz tracing modes for on-site flexibility
  • Low battery warning indication
  • Adaptive Meter scale and audio response
  • Digital microprocessor control
  • Operates with an EziTRACE signal generator
  • Network Rail approved (Certificat No: PA05/02031)
