DIG-Tester For Insulated Glass

This detector has 2 positions: place the tester on a glass and push the button:

a)"present" position: if the red led lights up and the buzzer sounds,
a low-E coating is present on the glass.

b)"contact" position : if the red led lights up and the buzzer sounds
you know that the coating is on the surface the detector is touching.

For laminated glass the DIG detector cannot distinguish which surface the coating is on when placed against the PVB, it will only indicate a coating is present.
