The release of the new Leica DISTO™ D3a BT allows the user to take measurements that can be wirelessly and accurately transferred to a PDA! Although OrthoGraph is already compatible with the Leica DISTO™ D8, the new Lieca D3a BT has proven to be a perfect match for gathering real estate data to enter on a PDA, or mobile touch screen device. At half the price of the Leica DISTO™ D8, this new distance meter from Leica and OrthoGraphTM is a must for anyone working in the real estate, construction, architecture, or insurance industries.
The electronic drawing of the ground-plan is made right on the site on the basis of the survey. As an output OrthographTM supports image file formats as JPG/PNG/GIF/BMP/DWG format. These drawings are compatible with almost all CAD and CAFM systems including AutoCAD and Google SketchUP- As an additional unique opportunity OrthoGraphTM handles the survey data in a BIM model that can be easily imported into ArchiCAD containing all parametric data just besides the drawing.
