The new features and enhancements of GstarCAD 2010

New Features

Compatible with dwg files of AutoCAD 2010
- Use the latest ODA library,you can open the files of AutoCAD 2010.

GstarCAD and Excel Form Converter-AutoXLSTable
- AutoXlsTable can transform form between EXCEL and CAD and account the number of blocks , area and length calculations.AutoXlsTable makes it very easy to create CAD form and drawing will be renewed automatically after accounting the number of blocks and calculating the area and length with AutoXlsTable.
  If the original Excel table "Excel spreadsheet1" quotes "Excel spreadsheet2", when Excel spreadsheet2 is modified the update will be imported to spreadsheet1. the data quoted from Excel spreadsheet2 will be updated automatically.

Create an original Excel table，other persons within the LAN can import this Excel table to CAD with AutoXlsTable.

User can calculate according to properties if calculating the number of blocks in a different layer or in the current drawing. and has characteristics of real-time update.

3D solid rendering
- Support 3D rendering functions, including light source, material, the application of background and render settings; Render Window supports the rotation, zoom, observe the rendering effect dynamically of rendering model.

Multi-line text editor
- Multi-line text editor can realize the in-place editing of text, the function becomes more strong and it is nearly the same to the advanced version AutoCAD.

The edit of external reference (xref refedit)
- GstarCAD2010 supports the reference editing of external reference.

Dimension associative
- GstarCAD2010 realize the dimension associative in model space.when the varialbe "dimassoc" is set as 2, the dimension created by snapping and selecting object will be updated according to the modification of drawing. But this function can not work in layout space

The conversion from 2D to 3D Solprof（profile）
- GstarCAD2010 provides "solprof" feature, it can convert 3D drawing into 2D contours in layout space.

Aerial View
- You can modify the place of view in the current viewport quickly with Aerial View and position the drawing.

The Plug-in on Dwg File Preview
- Installation GstarCAD, use Windows Explorer to browse DWG drawings can show thumbnails of drawings, location drawings will be more convenient .
- After installation of GstarCAD, user can browse the thumbnail of DWG drawing with Windows Resource Manager, and it is very convenient to position the drawing.

The improvement of API

GRX Interface
- GstarCAD provides GRX interface that is highly compatible with ARX, redeveloper can transplant product software on AutoCAD platform to GstarCAD platform after adjusting code simply and then compiling it.

The VBA compatibility with AutoCAD
- Copy the VBA code of AutoCAD to GstarCAD, replace Acad as Gcad with "find" and "replace" function, it can work well after saving it as VBI format.

The code level compatibility of Vlisp execution (vlx, fas)
- VLX can be read directly and GstarCAD can load and execute fas files directly.
